Charter Mission

The Society of Government Physicians (SoGo Physicians) is the organization whose members are recognized in society as essential in public service patient care settings for optimizing care that improves health, wellness, and enhanced quality of life. Through sharing of information, education, and advocacy SoGo Physicians empowers its members to improve medication use and advance patient care by:

• Providing timely and accurate information that is vital to our members.
• Creating unique opportunities for our members to connect and share with their peers across practice settings.
• Raising societal awareness about the role of government physicians as essential in patient care for optimal outcomes.
• Providing state-of-the-art resources to enhance our members' continuing professional development.
• Educating and influencing legislators, policy makers, regulators, and the public to advance our vision and mission.

SoGoPhysicians Mission, Vision, and Goals

SoGoPhysicians was first established as a national professional society, having been concieved and founded in 2007 as the Society of Government Physicians. Its mission is to become the sole and largest association of government physicians in the United States, including practicing physicians and others interested in advancing the profession.
